Quality Assurance Specialist, position no. nws-qas024

QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (all levels): Responsible for assisting with quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements; conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. BS/BA degree (or equivalent) in area of specialty and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Higher-level quality assurance specialist positions may require as many as 10 years prior experience and an advanced degree.

Additional requirements for higher-level Quality Assurance Specialist positions may include:

• Increased familiarity of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field
• Working under general supervision
• Leading and directing the work of others
• Meeting the expectations of a wide degree of creativity and latitude
• Relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
