INNOVIM Transitioned MODAPS Web Services to Operations

INNOVIM supports the release of the MODAPS Web Service.  INNOVIM provided Web Services expertise to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center's Hydrospheric and Biospheric Science Laboratory to develop the MODAPS Web Service.  This service is now operational and provides a streamlined method to searching and ordering MODIS satellite data products.  These data offerings aggregate to many terabytes of science data. The Web service provides a programmable interface that enables interrogation and retrieval of MODIS data products and access to geospatial routines such as file formatting and spatial resampling, . This new service supports Earth science data workflows as well as other client-side implementations and tools.  The MODAPS Web Service may be accessed at http://ladsweb.nascom.nasa.gov/data/web_services.html.
