INNOVIM Awarded GGSG Contract

INNOVIM is on the winning GGSG team, subcontracting to the prime SGT.  This contract was awarded to SGT by Goddard on June 23, 2011.  Our contract work starts Aug 1, 2011.  Description of the GGSG contract work is below.

We will be assisting with systems software development and system administration. Some specific tasks we'll be likely working on are:

  • Software documentation and manuals creation on the Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer system software
  • Cluster server administration supporting contract missions and projects
  • Provide software and data processing support related to the Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite (ICESat) mission and and the Carbon Inventory and Monitoring project
  • Provide software development and maintenance for GEODYN orbit determination and geodetic parameter estimation program

GGSG  Scope of Work
NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) has selected SGT, Inc. to provide scientific support to the Geophysics, Geodynamics and Space Geodesy (GGSG) Program. Under this contract SGT supports the GSFC Science Directorate. The GGSG Program reflects the large and multi-disciplinary scope of GSFC's interests.

The work includes development of orbital data analysis strategies, geodynamic models, and software systems to study four-dimensional geophysical and oceanographic processes. Missions that are supported are both near-earth and interplanetary.

Specific areas of research include precision orbit determination, satellite force model investigations, development of models of the Earth and planetary gravity and topographic fields, satellite non-conservative force modeling, and mission simulation, engineering, and sensor analyses. Under this contract SGT will improve on our estimates of models of the magnetic fields of the Earth and Mars, the gravity model of Earth, Mars, Venus, and 433 Eros, and topographic models for these bodie

This contract also advances and supports the Science Information Processing System developed for NASA's ICES at Mission which is responsible for all science production and enhancement through reprocessing the laser altimeter data being delivered by this mission. Under this contract support will be provided (through both Principle and Co-Investigator and supporting science staff) to the Jason, GRACE, ICES at, NASA Planetary Sciences, Global Sea Level, ACCESS, and Solid Earth and Natural Hazards programs.
