INNOVIM member of winning team, awarded NASA Goddard's GGSG contract

NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) has selected SGT, Inc. to provide scientific support to the Geophysics, Geodynamics and Space Geodesy (GGSG) Program.

Under this contract, SGT supports the GSFC Science Directorate. The GGSG Program reflects the large and multi-disciplinary scope of GSFC's interests. The work includes development of orbital data analysis strategies, geodynamic models, and software systems to study four-dimensional geophysical and oceanographic processes. Missions that are supported are both near-earth and interplanetary. Specific areas of research include precision orbit determination, satellite force model investigations, development of models of the Earth and planetary gravity and topographic fields, satellite non-conservative force modeling, and mission simulation, engineering, and sensor analyses. Under this contract SGT will improve on our estimates of models of the magnetic fields of the Earth and Mars, the gravity model of Earth, Mars, Venus, and 433 Eros, and topographic models for these bodies.

This contract also advances and supports the Science Information Processing System developed for NASA's ICESat Mission which is responsible for all science product production and enhancement through reprocessing the laser altimeter data being delivered by this mission. Under this contract support will be provided (through both Principle and Co- Investigator and supporting science staff) to the Jason, GRACE, ICESat, NASA Planetary Sciences, Global Sea Level, ACCESS, and Solid Earth and Natural Hazards programs."
