INNOVIM employees Dr. Gary Lin and Regina Oglesby to receive NASA/GSFC Hydrospheric and Biospheric Sciences Laboratory Peer Award

Congratulations to Gary Lin and Regina Oglesby for being selected for GSFC's Code 614 Peer Award! Below are details supporting the nominations for their categories:

Outstanding Technical Support

Gary Lin received the NASA/GSFC Hydrospheric and Biospheric Sciences Laboratory Peer Award in the Outstanding Technical Support category.

Gary supports the calibration of the VIIRS sensor on the NPOESS/NPP SDS project under Bob Schweiss, Matt Schwaller, and Robert Wolfe. After making over a dozen time-critical presentations of original analyses of test plans and test results and collaborating with multi-agency multi-contractor calibration working groups, his work led to multiple significant improvements in test procedures and analysis methodologies. Gary has received the appreciation of colleagues across the program, including the Integrated Program Office (NOAA/DoD/NASA) calibration team, the NASA Science calibration team, and the Northrop Grumman/Raytheon sensor development and testing team. Gary’s work exemplifies the technical skill and collaborative teamwork that bring success to NASA projects.

Outstanding Clerical Support

Regina Oglesby received the NASA/GSFC Hydrospheric and Biospheric Sciences Laboratory Peer Award in the Outstanding Clerical Support category.

As Principle Technical Specialist, Regina provides overall administrative support services for the Terrestrial Information Systems Branch (TISB). She routinely interacts with a variety of stakeholders at NASA and Branch personnel while supporting MODIS and other moderate-resolution remote sensing projects. Regina has earned a reputation with all as being extremely helpful and resourceful. She can be counted on to go above and beyond in organizing logistics, providing excellent travel support, and is a pleasure to work with.

Gary, Regina and the recipients for other categories will be honored at an awards ceremony on Friday, December 4, at GSFC.

Congratulations again to Gary and Regina!
