Washington , DC . -- December 6, 2006
Innovim, LLC of Washington, D.C. and QSS Group Inc. of Lanham, MD today announced a partnership to pursue task orders supporting IRS IT initiatives via the Treasury-wide acquisition contract Total Information Processing Support Services (TIPSS-3). Innovim will be available as a sub-contractor to QSS for the remainder of the TIPSS-3 contract.
As one of only 15 large companies selected to compete for IT services at IRS, QSS Group has already been awarded several TIPSS-3 task orders and now has joined forces with Innovim to pursue more TIPSS-3 opportunities. QSS is fully certified and qualified in all three IRS-defined principal task areas: Information System Services (ISS), Strategic Business Services (SBS), and System Security Services (SSS). This comprehensive scope provides TIPSS-3 customers with complete coverage of technical and non-technical services. TIPSS-3 has a 5-year period of performance through 2010, a $3 billion dollar ceiling and entails no user fees for the Department of Treasury and its' Bureaus.
Innovim Executive Vice President Daniel Horsey, previously Director, Enterprise Architecture for The IRS, accepted QSS's offer to form this partnership after discussions with several other TIPSS-3 contractors. According to Dan: "We at Innovim are excited about our partnership with QSS on the IRS TIPSS program. Innovim's expertise in working with very large data sets should be of great value to the IRS and the QSS team. This also represents a major step towards our goal of diversifying our company's client base", Robert Bornhofen, TIPSS-3 Program Manager for QSS, regards Innovim's in-depth knowledge of IRS modernization goals and challenges to be of significant value to QSS's competitiveness for TIPSS-3 work. According to Bob: "Adding Innovim to the QSS team deepens our commitment to the IRS and other TIPSS-3 customers to provide uniquely qualified and technically competent resources."
